Ah, we fast all night while sleeping and this isn't taking into account what one might be doing for a living. I'm in the events business. When I work the hours are early till late, I need those calories in the A.M. because I probably won't eat lunch till 1 or 2 and sometimes 3 in the afternnoon. Without breakfast I'd get a head ache and feel fatigued. These one size fits all idea's are exactly the type of dietary advise we discussed over and over when I studied nutrition at the Institute for intergrative Nutrition! I think it comes down to what feels right for you personally. Besides I love my breakfasts and fresh brewed coffee to wash it down. There's also the ritual aspect of breakfast. And if you're smart you're planning nutritious morning meals and not eating Fruit Loops!
